Voters to decide Tuesday on party nominees

Results will be posted on Register-News Web site Tuesday night

    Seven area municipalities will hold local primary elections Tuesday to determine which candidates for the Democratic and Republican parties will run in the Nov. 4 general election.
    Primary elections will be held statewide from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Bordentown Township
   
There are two three-year seats available on the Township Committee. Incumbents George Chidley and Mark Roselli have filed on the Republican side.
    No Democrats have filed for the primary.
    Residents in Districts 1 and 7 can vote at the township municipal building on Municipal Drive. Residents from Districts 2 and 3 can vote at Mission Firehouse, 51 Groveville Road, and Districts 4, 5 and 8 vote at the senior center on Municipal Drive. Residents from District 6 can vote at the Northern Community Park pavilion.
Chesterfield
   
Incumbent Republican Michael Hlubik will run unopposed for his party’s nomination to run for a three-year Township Committee seat.
    No Democrats filed to run in the primary.
    Voting will take place in the municipal building, 300 Bordentown-Chesterfield Rd.
Fieldsboro
   
Two three-year seats are available on the Borough Council this year.
    Incumbent Democrats Michael Carroll and Richard Lynch, and newcomer Timothy Tyler have filed to run for their party’s nomination.
    Kevin Raynor has filed to run for nomination on the Republican side.
    Residents can vote in the municipal building, 18 Washington St.
Florence
   
Incumbent Mayor Michael Muchowski will run unopposed in the Democratic primary for the nomination to seek another four-year term as mayor.
    Republican Jerry Sandusky has filed to run for his party’s nomination.
    There are two four-year seats available for a council member-at-large on the Township Council. Incumbent Democrat John Fratinardo and Democrat Elizabeth A. Ryan have filed to run in the primary.
    On the Republican side, Joseph G. Meszaros Jr. and Gary Olaff have filed to run.
    Residents can vote at the Roebling Rescue Squad, Second and Hornberger avenues (1st Ward, 1st District), Florence Township Library, 1350 Hornberger Ave., Roebling (1st Ward, 2nd and 3rd districts), Tollgate Condominium (2nd Ward, 1st District), Firehouse No. 2 on Delaware Avenue (2nd Ward, 2nd District), Fountain of Life Center, 2035 Columbus Road (2nd Ward, 3rd District), the municipal building, 711 Broad St. (3rd Ward, 1st and 2nd districts), and Florence Township Memorial High School, 500 E. Front St. (3rd Ward, 3rd District).
Mansfield
   
There are two three-year seats available on the Township Committee.
    Incumbents Charles Schubert, a Republican, and Kelly Shea, a Democrat, have filed to run in the primary elections.
    Republicans John Bereczki and Randy Scragg also have filed, along with Democrats Harry Mansure, Dalpat Patel and Stephen Schwartz.
    Residents from District 1 can vote at Northern Burlington County Regional High School in the 500 building. Residents from Districts 2 and 3 can vote at the municipal building, 24548 E. Main St., Columbus. Residents from Districts 4 and 5 can vote at Homestead Community Clubhouse.
New Hanover
   
There are two three-year seats available on the Township Committee. Incumbents Dennis Roohr and Maryanne Russell will seek nomination to the Republican ticket.
    Democrat Sharon Atkinson has filed to run in the Democratic primary.
    All voting will take place at the municipal building, 2 Hockamick Road.
North Hanover
   
There are two three-year seats available on the Township Committee.
    Incumbents John Kocubinski and Patrick Kennedy have filed on the Democratic side.
    Republicans William Tilton and Michael Moscatiello will seek nomination to their party’s ticket.
    Residents from Districts 1 and 2 can vote in the senior center. Residents from District 3 can vote in the municipal building. Both are located on Schoolhouse Road.
