Letter: A great day despite the rain

To the editor:

The Cranbury Lions would like to thank everyone who braved a wet, damp and undeniably cold Memorial Day to view the annual Memorial Day Parade.
We would especially like to thank the Cranbury Police Department for traffic control, the Cranbury Public Works Department for their assistance, and all the groups that came out to march down Main Street.
I’d also like to announce this year’s parade float, decorated bicycle and 50/50 winners: the Historical Society float, entitled "Whispers from the Grave" and driven by Patty Long, won the $100 prize for best float; the first, second and third prizes for best decorated bicycles were awarded to Delano Hubert, Remy Hubert, and Adison Hubert, respectively.
Finally, the winners of the Lions’ annual Super 50/50 Fund-raiser were first prize, Ed Badgley of Rossmoor; second prize, Ilene Addonizio of Cranbury, and third prize, L. Mason Blaich of Albuquerque, N.M.
