180 receives grant for child abuse prevention

The Child Abuse Risk Reduction Program, Hazlet, developed by 180 Turning Lives Around, recently received a second-year grant from the Children’s Trust Fund (CTF).

The CTF recognized 28 facilities for outstanding child abuse prevention programs at its annual awards ceremony at the State House in late May.

Each year CTF selects programs structured to prevent child abuse and neglect among high-risk populations.

The 180 child abuse risk reduction program received a grant for $38,960 to teach positive coping skills to children and parents residing in an emergency domestic violence shelter and a longer-term transitional housing facility.
