The Friends of the Spotswood Public Library is seeking donations for a "blueberry" basket to be raffled off on July 21 following a New Jersey Council for the Humanities presentation on the New Jersey blueberry.
Patrons are encouraged to bring blueberry-themed items, including muffin mixes, scented candles and stationery, to the library, 548 Main St.
Donations should be delivered by June 28.
The basket will be on display and raffle tickets will be available after July 1.
Historian Judith Krall-Russo will present a program titled "Blueberries: New Jersey’s Wonder Fruit" from noon to 2 p.m. on July 21 at the library.
The free event is offered through the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Blueberry refreshments will available after the presentation.

Blood drive slated for June 26 at O.B. temple

E.B. church to sponsor vacation Bible school
East Brunswick Assembly of God, Hardenburg Lane, will sponsor a vacation Bible school from 6:30-9 p.m. June 23-27. This year’s theme will be "Treasures of the Nile." The program will include songs, Bible stories, crafts, puppetry, etc. Individuals ages prekindergarten-adult are welcome. Admission is free of charge.
