Soccer tryouts
   Thursday, June 19 — The Northern Burlington Soccer Club is looking for boys and girls ages 10 to 14 interested in playing competitive travel soccer to start new teams this fall in all age groups. Tryouts and registration will be held tonight at 6 p.m. at the Northern Burlington Middle School. Come out and show off your soccer skills and find out more about our club. directs "Jeffrey"

   Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 — Bordentown resident Tracey Antozzeski will direct the comedy "Jeffrey" at Kelsey Theater on the campus of Mercer County Community College in West Windsor at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and $50 with all proceeds benefiting the Open Arms Foundation, a program that provides counseling and services to New Jersey residents living with HIV.

   Saturday, June 21 — Florence Township Police Department is sponsoring this inspection check and training session in cooperation with the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department. This will be held at the Florence Township Municipal Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment necessary.

   Sunday, June 22 — The pastor and congregation of St. Paul Baptist Church will celebrate this annual day with their 3:30 p.m. service. Guest preacher will be Rev. Clarence J. Golf tourney
   Monday, June 23 —The Chesterfield Public Education Fund will sponsor the seventh annual Golf Tournament at the Olde York Country Club. The tournament starts at noon with a shotgun tee-off. The entry fee is $160 per golfer. Fee includes greens fee, cart, boxed lunch and awards dinner reception. Dinner reception includes a cocktail hour with open bar, music and a live auction. T’ai Chi classes
   Wednesday, July 2 — Ladies Auxiliary of the Chesterfield Hose Company is sponsoring a T’ai Chi course in two segments at the Chesterfield Firehouse on Route 528, taught by Viktoria Vercelletto. Part 1 consists of four classes on Wednesday, July 2 through 23, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $36. Part 2, beyond beginners, is three classes starting Wednesday, July 30, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Cost $27. tap classes
   Thursday, July 10 — The Ladies Auxiliary of Chesterfield Hose Co. is sponsoring a six-week session of adult jazz and tap classes, at the Chesterfield Firehouse on Route 528. Classes are July 10, 17, 31; Aug. 7, 14, 21. Jazz class is 7 to 7:45 p.m. and costs $60; tap class is 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. and costs $60; or take both classes for $100. SCUBA Vacation Bible School
   Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18 — Mount Zion A.M.E. Church of Bordentown will hold vacation bible school from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Clara Barton School, 100 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. There is something for everyone, from age 3 to adult! Each day will be filled with super cool Bible adventures that you can see, hear, touch and yes, even taste! PTA bingo

Garden club
   The Roebling Garden Club is conducting a membership drive for new members to work on the beautification of Roebling in time for the 100th Anniversary celebration in 2005. Dues are $5 and meetings are held every second Monday at 7 p.m. at the Roebling Library. The club is looking for new ideas and suggestions. Summer programs

Programs include: basketball camp, sports and games camp, field hockey camp, cyber enrichment camp, swim program for children and adults, and more.    A summer aerobics program will be held at the Bordentown Township Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 to 7:10 p.m. through Sept. 30. Register in person at the Center before class, through June 26.
Vacation Bible School
   A Community Vacation Bible School will be held Aug. 4 to 8 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bordentown. The Christ Episcopal, First Baptist, First Presbyterian and Trinity United Methodist churches sponsor this VBS. Registration will be on Monday, Aug. 4 at 8:30 a.m. for children ages 4 through those who completed grade six. The program will include Bible stories, crafts, singing, recreation, snacks and a special closing program on Friday, Aug. 8. All children of the community are invited to this school. Soccer camps
   Florence Township Soccer League will be holding its Second Annual Soccer Camp conducted by MLS (Major League Soccer) Camps on Aug. 4 through Aug. 8 at Marter Fields, Old York Road, Florence. Camp times are 9 a.m. to noon or 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The camp is open to all from ages 5 to 18. Crosswicks festival
   Saturday, Sept. 27 — 15th Annual Crosswicks Village Festival. A wide variety of events is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including an antique car display, house tours, 50/50 raffle, chili tasting contest, book sale, face painting, bike sale, games for children, and food. A spaghetti dinner will end the day at the fire house. The festival is sponsored by the Chesterfield Township Historical Society, Crosswicks Community Association, Crosswicks Library, Crosswicks Fire Company and the Methodist church.
