Hornby wins Governor’s Award and VNA honors

Jeanine K. Hornby of East Brunswick recently earned the New Jersey Governor’s Nursing Merit Award in the category of community health. In March she was named 2003 Clinician of the Year, a national honor conferred by Visiting Nurse Associations of America. A staff nurse for Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey for 11 years, Hornby was also named the agency’s 2003 Nurse of the Year.

Hornby specializes in the care of children with serious medical conditions and the care of women with high-risk pregnancies. Recognized as an excellent clinician, she holds multiple national certifications in maternal/child health.

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey, now in its 91st year of service, is a Medicare-certified, nonprofit provider of in-home health care and hospice services. The organization also offers community-based health and wellness services throughout its service area of Middlesex and Monmouth counties.
