GERALDINE C. CARR McCARTHY, 70, of Hazlet died June 29 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she resided there before moving to Hazlet 33 years ago. She was a homemaker. Prior to that, she was an operator at N.J. Bell Telephone, Jersey City, for 15 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila L. and Bill Ferinden of Middletown; her son and daughter-in-law, Sean W. and Eileen McCarthy of Howell; her former husband, William McCarthy of Brick; two sisters, Alva Larkin of Texas, and Mary Ann Barry of Lakewood; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered July 2 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport. LEWIS McKEE, 45, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died June 27 at home. He was a Lincroft resident most of his life. He was a lawn equipment salesman at Cerlione’s Lawn and Garden Equipment, Hazlet. He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne Keating McKee in 2002; and his parents, James and Lorraine Harvey McKee. He is survived by his brother, Charles McKee of Tinton Falls. Visitation will be July 2 from 5-7 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be July 3 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
BRIAN VINCENT DELANEY, 54, of Rumson, died June 18 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Middletown prior to moving to Rumson 16 years ago. He was a fifth grade teacher and student council adviser at Joseph Bolger Middle School, Keansburg, the past 30 years. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Keansburg, as well as the National, New Jersey and Monmouth County Education Associations. He volunteered and was known as the "Snackbar Man" at Camp Arrowhead, Marlboro. He enjoyed time with his family, and was active in the community. He was predeceased by a brother, Francis Delaney; and two sisters, Jacqueline Delaney and Mary Jahn. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda A. Delaney of Rumson; two sons, Conor F. Delaney and Patrick Joseph Delaney, both Rumson; his daughter, Caitlin Ann Delaney of Rumson; two sisters, Eileen Swiderski of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, and Maureen Schultz of Jersey City; and his brother, Joseph W. Delaney of Rutherford. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Middletown.
EVA E. SANTORO, 95, of Matawan died June 20 at Victoria House Assisted Living, Matawan. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she came to New Jersey in 1990 and resided with her daughter and son-in-law in Marlboro before moving to Matawan. Mrs. Santoro was a homemaker. She was president of the Good Neighbors Senior Club of St. Bernards Church, Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Santoro, in 1978. Mrs. Santoro is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Joe Bonfiglio of Marlboro, Marilyn and Bob Ward of Manasquan, and Christine and Bob Fornes of Manalapan; a brother, Christopher Movizzo of Florida; a sister, Theresa Santoro of Staten Island, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. PEGGY A. TIMIDAISKI, 69, of Colt Neck died June 20 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Newark, she had been a resident of Colts Neck for more than 50 years. Mrs. Timidaiski was an administrative assistant at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, for 25 years before retiring in January. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Colts Neck, where she was a member of the Martha and Mary Guild. She also was a member of the Colts Neck Seniors. Mrs. Timidaiski was predeceased by her husband, David W., in January. She is survived by her mother, Frances Landgraff of Shrewsbury; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Timidaiski of Eatontown, and Joseph and Kathleen Timidaiski of Lawsonville, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and John Rener of Middletown; a sister, Audrey Norton of Onley, Va.; and two grandchildren. JOSEPH J. BRUNNER, 75, of Hazlet died June 26 at home. Mr. Brunner had been a resident of Hazlet since 1957. He was an electrician at New Brunswick Scientific, Edison, for 24 years, retiring in 2000. Prior to that, he worked for RCA Corp. for 26 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Brunner is survived by his wife of 49 years, Agnes Buknow Brunner; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James J. Brunner of Hazlet, Neal T. and Susan Brunner of Howell, and Stephen J. and Grace Brunner of Union; and five grandchildren. MARGARET H. LETTICH CARCICH, 90, of Howell died June 26 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Little Ferry, she had lived in Keyport and West New York before moving to Howell. Mrs. Carcich was a secretary in New York City for a short time before becoming a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church, Howell, and a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, where she had been a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Her husband, Nicholas R. Carcich, died in 1989. Mrs. Carcich is survived by three sons, Robert Carcich of Eatontown, Nicholas Carcich of Kearny, and Anthony Carcich of Holmdel; a daughter, Mary-Ann Metzger of Howell; a sister, Ann Lettich of Red Bank; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. BENJAMIN "HARRY" STARK, 83, of Keyport died June 26 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Belleville, he had been a resident of the Bayshore area since the 1940s, and moved to Keyport 10 years ago. Mr. Stark was a mason at Local 42, Keyport, for 49 years, retiring in 1980. He and his son also owned Atlantic Bayshore Truck Repair. He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II in the European Theater. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin Stark, in 1975. Mr. Stark is survived by his wife, June McElroy Stark; a son, Harry Stark of Matawan; a daughter, Sharon Hudy of Old Bridge; two sisters, Ann Renz and Dorothy Popiel, both of Florida; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. RONALD CHARLES WILSON, 65, of Highlands died June 27 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Wood-Ridge, he had resided in Keansburg and in Belleview, Fla., before moving to Highlands six months ago. Mr. Wilson was a groundskeeper for the Holmdel Board of Education for 13 years before his retirement. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Belford Independent Fire Company for 20 years, and served as its head bartender for several years. He was predeceased by two sisters, Linette Wilson, in 1955, and Nancy Robertson, in 1996. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 19 years, Cheryl A. Corrigan Wilson; two sons, Daniel Wilson of Simpsonville, S.C., and Ronald Wilson of Keansburg; a brother, Charles Wilson of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown; and a sister, Carol Walcott of Simpsonville, S.C.
