Mr. Scalera said he especially likes the indoor pool while Ms. Scalera is a frequent visitor to the fitness center and library. As much as the Scaleras enjoy the amenities at Upper Freehold, they say their home is equally impressive.
The Scaleras chose the Sanibel model, featuring three bedrooms, two full baths, a spacious kitchen with a lovely breakfast area and a spacious family room that is perfect for entertaining. Mr. Scalera uses one bedroom as an office for his consulting business while another is reserved for guests, Ms. Scalera said.
The couple upgraded their kitchen cabinetry, countertops, appliances and floor coverings at K. Hovnanian’s Home Design Gallery, a 17,000-square-foot interactive showroom where homeowners can choose among a wide selection of appliances, fixtures, faucets, countertops, tile and carpeting to help make their new home unique.
"We’re extremely happy with our selections," Ms. Scalera said. "I just love the way it all came together."

At the center of the community is the 17,000-square-foot clubhouse with an indoor pool, fitness center and full locker room facilities. In addition, there are rooms for billiards, cards, crafts and even a computer room. There also is a library, a clubroom and a multipurpose room with a fireplace.
Four Seasons’ single-level homes range up to three bedrooms, two baths and 2,420 square-feet of living space plus a two-car garage. Visitors will find great rooms and family rooms open to gourmet kitchens with breakfast nooks and pantry closets. There are storage closets and full laundry rooms. Luxurious master suites can have oversized baths, walk-in closets and cathedral ceilings.
Interior flexibility allows each family to fashion their own home; personal choices include cathedral ceilings, fireplaces, bay windows, a sunroom, a spacious storage room above the garage reached by a stairway and turning a den into an additional bedroom. Among the home designs are two distinctive loft plans that increase the living space to nearly 3,400 square-feet.
