MARGARET ROIG, 86, formerly of South River, died June 24 at Cape Coral, Fla., Her husband, Anthony Roig Sr., and a son, Anthony "Butch" Roig, predeceased her. Surviving are her son, Robert Roig, and daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ricky Gillish, all of Cape Coral. Interment was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

BERTHA LANGER, 89, of East Brunswick, died June 26 at Cranbury Center, Monroe. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Betty and Robert Quackenboss of East Brunswick, and Dorothy Martin of Princeton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. NICHOLAS RUSSO, 71, of Old Bridge died June 26 at home. Surviving are his wife, Marion Weiser Russo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Peggy Russo of Monroe, and Joseph and Karen Russo of Old Bridge; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Watkins of Piscataway, Jeannette and Daniel McGinley of Old Bridge, and Stephanie and Daniel Zykorie of Helmetta; three brothers, Anthony of North Brunswick, Philip of Franklin, and Carmen of Lavallette; two sisters, Frances Leppert of Manchester, and Rose Marie Kenney of Jupiter, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.

BENJAMIN "HARRY" STARK, 83, of Keyport died June 26 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Belleville, he had been a resident of the Bayshore area since the 1940s, and moved to Keyport 10 years ago. Mr. Stark was a mason at Local 42, Keyport, for 49 years, retiring in 1980. He and his son also owned Atlantic Bayshore Truck Repair. He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II in the European Theater. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin Stark, in 1975. Mr. Stark is survived by his wife, June McElroy Stark; a son, Harry Stark of Matawan; a daughter, Sharon Hudy of Old Bridge; two sisters, Ann Renz and Dorothy Popiel, both of Florida; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Laurence Harbor, followed by interment at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

EMILY WIGHTMAN McINERNEY, 92, of East Brunswick died June 27 at the McCarrick Care Center, Somerset. Her husband, Thomas, and a granddaughter predeceased her. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Bonnici; three sons, Thomas, James, and Denis McInerney; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the Chapel at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.

LEROY MACKLER, 88, of Freehold died June 27 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in Maplewood and Roselle before moving to Freehold seven years ago. Mr. Mackler was a salesman for Fowler Equipment Co., Union, for 10 years before retiring in 1992. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; a son, Robert Mackler of the Morganville section of Marlboro; a daughter, Irene Kushin of Morganville; a brother, Herbert Mackler of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Gladys Abrams of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. A graveside service was held at B’nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union.

LILLIAN O. ERNST ZICHA, 87, of East Brunswick died July 1 at Monroe Village, Mon­roe Township. Her husband, Frederick, died in 1973. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Carolann and Don Krause of East Brunswick; her sister, Evelyn Mihalik of Mount Sinai, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment was at Long Island Na­tional Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. Memorial dona­tions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Re­search Hospital, P.O. Box 100, Dept. 300, Mem­phis TN 38148-0552.

ELIZABETH BLUM NIELSEN, 91, formerly of Edison, died June 16 in Sunshine Assisted Living, Montgomery, Texas. Her husband, Niels J. Nielsen, died in 1984. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Szilagyi of Monroe; a son, Robert Nielsen of Montgomery, Texas; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.

BERNARD M. BLASE, 66, of East Brunswick died June 29 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was a machinist at Eterna Pre­cision, Jamesburg, for 35 years, retiring in 2001. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Ro­man Catholic Church, East Brunswick. He was a member of the South River Moose Lodge. His brother, Fred, prede­ceased him. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Evelyn Forcier Blase; two broth­ers, Jack Blase of Kulpmont, Pa., and Nicholas Blase of Gainesville, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Kobilis of East Brunswick, and Georgetta Schaffer of Pax­inos, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be July 3 at 8:45 a.m. at The Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, East Brunswick. JOSEPH C. WARTERS, 83, of Milltown died June 29 at home. He was prede­ceased by his wife, Doris Pitzner Warters in 1989, and his brother, Edward C. Warters Sr. in 2002. Surviving are his nephew, Edward C. Warters Jr. and his family in Jamison, Pa. A funeral service will be July 3 at 10 a.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. OLGA MOSKWA HANIS, 78, of South River died June 30 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Joseph Hanis Sr.; three sons, Joseph Jr. of South Amboy, James of Edison, and John of the Cliffwood Beach section of Ab­erdeen; two daugh­ters, Shirley Shepsko of Spotswood, and Sharon Jerscheid of New Brunswick; her brother, William Moskwa of Olyphant, Pa.; two sisters, Evelyn Janczek of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ann Jurkievich of Dixon City, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchil­dren. A funeral service will be July 3 at 10 a.m. at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

BRIAN K. ERRICKSON, 28, of Shrewsbury Township, died June 28 at home. Born in Red Bank, he resided in Shrewsbury Township the past five years. Mr. Errickson was a supervisor at the U.S. Postal Service Annex, Eatontown. He is survived by his daughter, Kayleigh Errickson of the Morganville section of Marlboro; his parents, William M. Errickson of Middletown and Adriann N. Errickson of East Windsor; his grandmothers, Diane Schaap of Keyport and Marcella Shields of Pinehurst, N.C.; a sister, Stephanie Horne of Portales, New Mexico; a niece and a nephew. LEO J. MISHNER, 81, of East Brunswick died June 28 at home. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Miriam Fanburg Mishner; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eric Mishner, and Scott and Mary Ellen Mishner, all East Brunswick; and two grand­children. STEFAN KMIECINSKI, 82, of South River died July 1 at St. Peter’s Medical Center, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Antonia Ignacova Kmiecinski; his son, Gene Kmiecinski of South River; two daugh­ters and one son-in-law, Helen and Anthony Como of Long Island, N.Y., and Dona Lepkowski of South River; and four grandchildren. A funeral ser­vice will be July 5 at 10 a.m. at Maliszewski Fu­neral Home, South River. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, South River. RICHARD J. LASKO, 62, of South River died July 1 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospi­tal, New Brunswick. He was a retired quality con­trol manager at Lockheed Martin, East Windsor, for 37 years. He was a communi­cant of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, South River. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. His father, Steven, predeceased him. Surviving are his wife, Lois Nowak Lasko; his mother, Mary; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Wendi Lasko of Sayreville; Michael and Francesca Lasko of Morganville, and Patrick Lasko of Old Bridge; three brothers, Robert and Joseph Lasko of Sayreville, and Vincent Lasko of New Egypt; his sister, Gladys Hunter of Sayreville; and three grandchildren.
