John Milburn, 18, of Bridgewater was charged with shoplifting at Wal-Mart on North Main Street.
Police responded at 1:49 p.m. June 17 to a report of a shoplifter held in custody on North Main Street. Police did not have information on the price or type of goods allegedly stolen.
Mr. Milburn was held in the Somerset County Jail until June 20, when he posted bail.

A Manville resident reported at 11:44 a.m. June 22 that a red, 20-inch Next Flat Spin bike valued at $80 was stolen sometime between 6:30 p.m. June 21 and 10:30 a.m. June 22 on the corner of Vermont and South 20th Avenue.
David Payne, 46, of Basking Ridge was charged with driving while intoxicated at 4:35 p.m. June 26 after a two-car accident at the corner of North Main Street and Dukes Parkway.
Police report that Mr. Payne also was charged with other violations including careless and reckless driving, driving with an open container of alcohol, failure to maintain his lane while driving and failure to wear a seatbelt.
While at police headquarters, he was charged with resisting arrest and simple assault after allegedly hitting a police officer.
He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail in default of $2,000 bail. On June 27, he posted bail and was released.

On June 27, an individual reported that someone was writing bank checks with her account number.

At 6:28 p.m. June 27, police responded to a call of a man pinned under a vehicle on Louise Drive.
According to police, he was working on his car when the jack slipped, trapping him beneath it. He was transported to the Somerset Medical Center. The medical center could not provide information on the patient’s status.

Police responded to a report of a car radio stolen from a 1999 Hyundai Accent at 6:13 p.m. June 28 on South 16th Avenue.
The radio, police say, was valued at $199.

Police responded to three burglary reports, all occurring June 29.
The first was at 3:28 p.m. on South Street when a resident returned home to find the house robbed. Police say that $500, a Citizen watch and personal checks were stolen.
A burglary on Washington Avenue was reported at 7:31 p.m., and a collection of coins, value undetermined, was reported missing. The burglary occurred earlier that day, according to police.
Police also responded to a report of a burglary at a home on East Camplain Road at 11:43 p.m. Jewelry valued at $5,000 was reported stolen.
Police are still investigating all three cases.

Two separate temporary restraining orders were filed and granted June 29 after individuals reported threats of assault to police in two separate domestic violence cases in Manville.
The first was reported at 9:18 p.m. when an individual told police that a boyfriend had threatened assault and injury. The victim was transported by police to headquarters where the victim applied for a temporary restraining order that was granted. The accused then fled and reportedly made threatening calls to the victim’s family.
The case was then screened for terroristic threats by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. The accused was arrested and released on bail.
The second incident was reported at 11:19 p.m. when a victim called in a domestic violence dispute to police headquarters. The accused was taken into custody for simple assault and a temporary restraining order was applied for and granted to the victim. Bail was set at $1,000.
The accused was lodged in the Somerset County Jail until he posted bail June 30 and was released.
