Eleanor Higgins

   MILFORD — Eleanor M. Higgins, 81, died Monday, July 7, at Arden House Manor Care in Yardley, Pa.
   Born Raritan Borough to the late William and Mary Shamrock Kane, she resided in Hunterdon County for the last 50 years. She previously lived in Somerville.
   She was a head bank teller for the former Hunterdon County National Bank in Flemington, retiring in 1995.
   Mrs. Higgins was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church in Flemington.
   Her husband, John L. Higgins, died in 1974.
   She is survived by a son, John Higgins of Milford; a daughter, Beverly Parker of Delaware Township; a sister, Mary Krug of Bridgewater; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at the church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.

Sallyann Hanson

   NEW HOPE — Sallyann Zimm Hanson, 69, of New Hope died Friday, July 11, at her son’s home in Downingtown, Pa.
   Daughter of the late Gary and Anna Zimm, she was born in New York City and lived in Buckingham before moving to New Hope two years ago.
   She was a former professor at Mercer County Community College. She also taught at Thomas Edison State College.
   Widow of Richard Hanson, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerry N. and Tammy J. Hanson of Downingtown and Gregory Z. and Lori A. Hanson of Mount Holly, N.J.; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth B. and Tom Rennie of Mesa, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Kevin, Lauren and Samantha Hanson.
   A memorial service will be held Monday, July 28, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with a reception following.
   Memorial donations may be made to the church at 80 W. Broad St., Hopewell, 08525.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Donohue Funeral Home, Downingtown.
Irene Trauger

   FURLONG, Pa. — Irene R. Trauger, 68, of Furlong died Sunday, July 13.
   She was married for 42 years to Richard B. Trauger, formerly of Lambertville.
   Born in Mozart, Pa., in Buckingham Township, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Waclawek.
   She was a graduate of Buckingham High School.
   She worked for Buckingham Township for more than 20 years.
   She enjoyed gardening, painting and traveling.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Paul of Hummelstown, Pa., and Mark and Nancy of Cherry Hill, N.J.; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Katherine; four sisters, Lorraine Aneskavich of Mt. Airy, Emily Molis of Mozart, Mary Solana of Furlong and Dolores Taraborelli of Labelle, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
   Services were held Wednesday at the Leaver Cable Funeral Home, Buckingham. Burial was private.
