BOUND BROOK George Lengyel, 75, died Thursday, July 10, at Somerville Medical Center in Somerville.
Born in Rahway, he had lived in Hillsborough most of his life before moving to Bound Brook four years ago.
Mr. Lengyel was honorably discharged from the United States Navy after serving as a Radioman Seaman during Word War II.
He worked for the Somerset Press in Somerville for 35 years where he was a production supervisor. In 1986 he continued his career with JLI Marketing & Printing in New Brunswick where he was still employed in the sales department.
Mr. Lengyel was a member of the Bound Brook United Methodist Church and the Somerville Elks.
His wife, Lorraine R. (Mollenhaur) Lengyel, died in 1994.
Surviving are two sons, David G. of Hamilton, Raymond C. of Hillsborough; one daughter, Nancy Lengyel of Sarona, Wisc.; two grandchildren; a step-grandchild; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Stano of Ringoes and Helen Perhach of Hillsborough; a brother, Peter Lengyel of Somerset.
A funeral service was held July 14 at the Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home in Manville with Rev. Mark Ale officiating. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
