Nicholas W. Profaci, 5, died Wednesday, July 16, at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Monroe and attended the Busy Bee Academy there.
He is survived by his parents, Salvatore L. and Francine M. Profaci of Monroe; his maternal grandparents, Wilson and Marie Gonzalez of Monroe; his paternal great grandmother, Serafina Danzo of Monroe; his maternal great grandmothers, Marie Gonzalez of Florida and Mary Gleason of Point Pleasant; an aunt, Toni Sullivan of Hightstown; three uncles, Steve Gonzalez of Scotsdale, Ariz., and John and Robert Profaci of Monroe; and many cousins and friends. His grandfather, Salvatore Proface, died in 1977.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 8:30 a.m. from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church in Monroe. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
