Daniel McCoy Jr.

   LAMBERTVILLE — Daniel J. McCoy Jr., 68, died Tuesday, July 15, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
   Born in Norfolk, Va., Mr. McCoy lived in Rahway before coming to Lambertville more than 40 years ago.
   He was the night janitor for Meil’s Restaurant in Stockton and Lambertville for eight years before his retirement. Earlier, he worked for the Lambertville House and worked in construction.
   He served in the Marines from 1954 through 1957 and in the reserves through 1960.
   He was a member of the American Legion Toscanni Post in Lambertville.
   He was the son of the late Daniel J. McCoy and the brother of the late Marjorie Doryk, Carol Fraser and Warren McCoy.
   He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Barlow McCoy; his son, Daniel J. Barlow of Ewing; his stepchildren, Benny T. Barlow of Lambertville, Tracy A. Payne of Phillipsburg, Jerome Barlow of Chicago and Tyshawn Barlow of Lambertville; his grandchildren, P.J. Simone of Lambertville, Daniel J. II and Sarah Barlow of Ewing, Tiffany, Brittany and Courtney Barlow of Chicago, Benjamin Barlow of Lambertville and Kyle Barlow of Phillipsburg; his mother, Marjorie Miller McCoy of Lambertville; his sisters, Lucille Slonaker of Hampton, N.J., and Ann Bonella of Somerset; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Monday at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville. Burial was held at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J.
Florence Mercantini

   BORDENTOWN — Florence L. Mercantini, 88, died Sunday, July 20, at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.
   Born in Lambertville, she had resided most of her life in Bordentown.
   She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, St. Mary’s PTA and the St. Mary Senior Citizens.
   She is the daughter of the late Nicholas and Florence Ledger McGowan.
   Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Louis A. Mercantini; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Tom Conoscenti of Yardley, Pa., Julia and Kenneth Miller of Moorestown and Loretta and Stephen Federline of Columbia, Md.; a sister-in-law, Helen Campbell of Bordentown; seven grandchildren, Deanna Thune, Matthew, Amy and Christopher Conoscenti, Bridget and Emily Miller and Amanda and Megan Federline; two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Peter Thune; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday in the church. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown.
