The Township of Brick will hold a special ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Korean War Armistice on Aug. 8.
"Now on the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice, we are going to show our appreciation to these veterans, and to remember those who paid the ultimate price for freedom," Mayor Scarpelli said.
Scarpelli will issue special commemorative certificates to Brick residents who are veterans of the Korean War as part of the ceremony.
Korean War veterans from Brick Township who would like to attend the ceremony should contact Bryan Dickerson or Emily Leonard at (732) 262-1010 to RSVP no later than Aug. 5.
