show slides of battle

The Howell Historical Society will present a slide show by the Battlefield Restoration and Archaeological Volunteer Organization (BRAVO) of the Battle of Monmouth, including Molly Pitcher and the Royal Highlanders. The presentation will be held in the main meeting room at Howell Town Hall, Preventorium Road, July 25 at 8 p.m.

‘Health Check Night’

at FirstEnergy Park

Kimball Medical Center will offer a Health Check Night at the FirstEnergy Park, 3 Stadium Way, Lakewood, on July 29. Representatives from the hospital will be present to provide information on many areas of healthy living.

"The evening will include valuable in­formation on pertinent health topics, health screenings and information on long-term assisted-living care and behav­ioral health," said Joanne Carrocino, ex­ecutive director of Kimball Medical Cen­ter, Lakewood.

"In addition, there will be information on stress management, including bio dots, blood pressure screenings, and glucose and body fat analysis," Carrocino said.

On-site for the evening will be Kimball Medical Center’s disaster preparedness decontamination tent. The public will be encouraged to view the tent, including special equipment, and talk with members of the decontamination team.
