I am writing today in support of Councilman Richard Greene in his bid to become the next mayor of Old Bridge.
Councilman Greene has been on the right side of the issues during his tenure on the Township Council, and I feel he is the most qualified person to lead the township forward.
While on the council, Mr. Greene has continually supported the development of recreational facilities for the township’s residents, supported the purchase of hundreds of acres of land to be preserved as open space and fought against developers. He has also identified ways to lower the municipal tax rate.
Councilman Greene certainly has the professional background needed to effectively carry out the duties of the office of mayor. He recently retired from the city of New York after serving in the positions of deputy director of the New York City Council Finance Division and chief budget and policy analyst with the New York City Independent Budget Office. I feel that his financial background combined with his leadership skills are exactly what Old Bridge needs as we tackle the important issues over the next few years.
We need a mayor who will lead us in controlling overdevelopment and stabilizing taxes. So join me in my support of Councilman Richard Greene for the office of mayor of Old Bridge and join me in my support of his running mates, Robert Sucarato, Amelia Mannino-Pellicone and Pete Trabucco. With their support, I feel the township would benefit from Greene’s hard work, vast knowledge and leadership ability.
