The center, in conjunction with The Friends of the Senior Center Inc., will present "An Evening With Uncle Floyd," a dinner show set for Aug. 21 at the center. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. The event will feature a catered dinner and songs and comedy by entertainer Uncle Floyd. Tickets cost $15 per person. Reservation and payment deadline is Aug. 12. Tables of eight are available. Payment in full is due at registration.
The Middlesex County Housing Coalition will present a program on reverse mortgages at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 at the center. Focus will be on the Federal Housing Authority’s Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM), which offers homeowners ages 62 and older the opportunity to borrow against the equity of their homes for various expenses. An overview, including eligibility, payment options, restrictions and other considerations, will be presented.
Participants are invited for "Bagels and … " at 10 a.m. prior to the presentation. Registration deadline is Aug. 18.
Seniors are invited to join Judge Jenn as she reviews court cases at 11 a.m. on Aug. 26 at the center. Registration is required by Aug. 19.
Michael Kownacky and Ted Otten of WWFM Classical Music will explore the works of three composers — Herbert, Frimi and Romberg — in a program titled "American Operetta Kings" set for Aug. 26 at the center. A $1 fee is due upon registration by Aug. 19. Time will be announced.
Seniors are invited to learn various watercolor techniques with Jean Gross from 12:30-3 p.m. on Aug. 25. Cost is $25, including $10 in supplies.
