The JEI Learning Center has opened in Marlboro. Although new to the area, its foundation is rooted in a supplementary education program that dates back more than 25 years. Franchised individually, the learning centers began in Korea under the guidance of JEI creator Sung I-loon Park.

According to Stephanie Lew, the learning center’s director, the center’s philosophy revolves around the belief that every child is born with unlimited potential and an innate ability to succeed, and its approach is one of self-learning. There are six components to the program: an individual diagnostic test; an interim evaluation; a re-evaluation; programmed learning materials; qualified, caring instructors; and encouragement and praise from parents. During the school year, JEI also will have SAT and PSAT classes.

The center is located at Two Bucks Lane, Marlboro. For more information, call (732) 866-9099.
