Obituaries Rosemary Chimera Loeffler

Mrs. Loeffler, 61, of Eatontown died Sept. 25 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch, following a battle with cancer. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y. She taught fourth grade for seven years at St. Jerome School, West Long Branch, where she was a past vice president of the PTA. She was a communicant of St. Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church, as well as treasurer of its Rosary Altar Society. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard W. Loeffler; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard F. and Laura Loeffler of Old Bridge, and Christopher J. Loeffler of New York City; and two daughters and one son-in-law, Suzanne M. Loeffler of Hoboken, and Josette M. and Edward Recchia of West Long Branch. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Jerome’s Church. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery Mausoleum, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jerome School, 250 Wall St., West Long Branch 07764.

Janet Cassidy Kerchner

Mrs. Kerchner, 82, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Long Branch, died Sept. 13 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence, Colorado Springs. Born in Long Branch, she resided there until moving to Colorado Springs in 1970. She was a member of the Retired Officers Wives Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank S. Kerchner, U.S. Air Force (Retired), in 1998; and a brother, Francis Cassidy. She is survived by a son, Frank S. Kerchner Jr. of Colorado Springs; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Dorothy Cassidy of Hilton Head, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Betty Cassidy of Shrewsbury; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909; or Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Arrangements were by Shrine of Remembrance, Colorado Springs.
