HOLMDEL — Police arrested an 18-year-old Aberdeen man and charged him with possession of a weapon after he allegedly showed up at the parking lot of St. John Vianney High School with a 7-inch knife.

Brett M. Sullivan, 18, Iona Place, Aberdeen, was arrested by township police Cpl. David Tuschmann on Oct. 2, shortly after he fled the school parking lot on Line Road in his car around 10:55 a.m., police said.

Sullivan still has not explained what he was doing at the school with the knife, said township Detective Sgt. Frank Allocco.

"He’s not giving us any information," said Allocco.

Sullivan was also charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, trespassing, and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, police said.

Municipal Court Judge Robert McLeod set Sullivan’s bail at $7,500. Sullivan was released on bail.
