Center sets ‘Evening of Giving’

The Kimball Medical Center Foundation will participate in "An Evening of Giving," Nov. 23 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Ocean County Mall, Hooper Avenue, Toms River.

The event, closed to the general public, will be open to those purchasing an $8 admission ticket.

A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the Kimball Medical Center Foundation.

Kimball Medical Center is located in Lakewood.

The ticket holders will have the opportunity to shop at any of the stores in the mall and enjoy the discounts and special offers extended by many of the shops for this special event.

To date, 72 stores and food vendors will participate by providing reductions in prices.

"We are anticipating an exciting evening, fueled by the appearance of Shawn and Jen, 92.7 WOBM radio personalities, who will host the evening’s festivities," said Joanne Bergin, director of development at the Kimball Medical Center Foundation.

Attendees will be treated to a performance by the Millennium Radio Holiday Choir and join in a special "Twelve Days of Christmas" sing-a-long. There will also be an opportunity to meet Bruce Hall, who plays Joey Buchanan on ABC-TV’s "One Life to Live."

Children can meet Santa at the center court from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Local choirs and music groups as well as strolling entertainment and children’s activities will be on hand.

A special one-per-customer Ocean County "Gift With Purchase" will be available while supplies last, which entitles those purchasing a $100 Simon Gift Card to a free $20 Simon Gift Card.
