Fourth annual World AIDS Day event Dec. 1
The Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey’s Life Improving Network to the Community (LINC) will hold the fourth annual World AIDS Day event at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold Township. LINC has served residents of the jail for more than eight years.
The event, themed "Stigma and Discrimination," is designed to continue to raise AIDS awareness, educate and support individuals living with HIV, support individuals fighting to stop the spread of HIV, and remember individuals who have died of the disease.
The LINC program provides HIV counseling, testing, education, prevention interventions, and case management to individuals incarcerated both with HIV and those at high risk.
