BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP
Glenn R. Grossman, 39, of Mansfield was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:33 a.m. Nov. 21.
While patrolling on Route 130, officers said they saw Mr. Grossman, who was driving a white 1988 Lincoln Mark VIII, make an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Route 130 and Dunns Mill Road. Mr. Grossman had been traveling south until the turn, then was traveling north on Route 130, according to reports.
Officers stopped Mr. Grossman near the Route 295 ramp and asked him to produce identification. He told officers he did not have vehicle registration and insurance because they were with the owner of the car, who lived in Hightstown, police said.
Officers told Mr. Grossman that he was being given citations for making an illegal U-turn, failure to produce vehicle registration and driving without proof of insurance. Once he left the car, officers saw a glass pipe, which they suspected to be a crack cocaine pipe on the floor next to the driver’s seat, according to reports.
Officers then searched Mr. Grossman and found a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance suspected of being cocaine, police said. They also found marijuana, a narcotics tool kit, and a narcotics scale in his possession, police said. Mr. Grossman was placed in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The owner told officers that he parked the car in front of his apartment building and came out the next morning to find it gone. He said the car was locked and that both sets of keys were in his possession.
He said several personal items such as CDs and sports equipment were in the car, and that it had several distinguishing bumper stickers on it that could be used in identification.
The car was recovered when it was stopped in Bristol, Pa. It was later returned to the owner by police. Information on the suspects driving the car, who were charged with receiving stolen property, was not available from Bordentown police.
