George J. Adriance
Investment advisor, elected official
PLAINSBORO George J. Adriance, a longtime Princeton resident, investment adviser and former member of the Princeton Township Committee, died Friday at The Windrows at Forrestal. He was 81.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., he moved to Princeton in 1956.
He was a loan officer at Irving Trust Co. in New York City from 1948 to 1956 and Princeton Bank and Trust Co. from 1957 to 1966. From 1966 to 1997, he was an investment adviser at Clark, Dodge and Co., which later became Tucker Anthony & R. L. Day, in Princeton.
He was a member of the Princeton Regional Planning Board and was elected to the Princeton Township Committee.
He was a member of Friends of the Princeton Public Library and the Kiwanis and Rotary clubs of Princeton.
He was a warden and longtime usher at Trinity Church, Princeton.
He was a 1944 graduate of Williams College and attended Harvard Law School for two years.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the 104th Infantry Division and received the Bronze Star.
Husband of the late Anne K. Delano Adriance, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Jim Adriance and Barbara Kohnen of Washington, D.C., and Matthew and Anne Adriance of Oldwick; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law Rick and Jenice, Jeff and Patti, Geody and Marfé, Bill and Beth Delano, and Ted Delano and Linda Van Kovics; sisters Sarah Scoville of Culver City, Calif., and Louise Gardner of Hanover, N.H.; grandchildren William, Madeleine, Sam and Ned Adriance; and step-grandchildren Bill, Ted, Chris, Kassen, Stephen, Allison and David Delano.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer St., Princeton.

Elizabeth H. Bardwell
Longtime Princeton resident
NEWTOWN, Pa. Elizabeth Hill Bardwell died Sunday at Chandler Hall.
A longtime Princeton resident, Mrs. Bardwell moved to the Friends Nursing Home at Chandler Hall in 1997, where she resided at the time of her death.
Born in Chicago, she moved in her teens to Colonial Heights, Yonkers, N.Y., where she attended Roosevelt High School. She was vice president of the senior class. She attended St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Later, she studied for a teaching certificate at San Diego and Trenton State colleges.
In 1943, she married her husband, a Navy lieutenant, at the Naval Air Station, San Diego.
After the war, her husband’s career took them many places including Princeton; Newport, R.I.; Norfolk, Va.; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Yardley, Pa., and San Diego. They moved to Princeton in 1960 after her husband’s retirement from the Navy.
Mrs. Bardwell was an active golfer at Springdale Golf Club and a member of The Present Day Club, All Saints Church and the KKG Alumni Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and socializing with friends.
Mother of the late Susan, she is survived by her husband, Charles Bardwell; daughter Ann Cooley of Hilton Head, S.C.; and grandson Carson Cooley.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, All Saints Road, Princeton.
Interment will follow at the Trinity-All Saints Cemetery.

PLAINSBORO Patricia I. Yetsko Belick died Thursday at home. She was 61.
Born in New Brunswick, she was a Somerset resident 20 years and moved to Plainsboro 24 years ago.
She was co-owner of Marquis Limo in Plainsboro. She formerly worked at Chicopee in Milltown, Instersteb Chemical in New Brunswick and for 20 years at Mom’s Restaurant in Edison.
She was a communicant of Queenship of Mary Parish, Plainsboro, and a member of the Rosary Society.
She was an avid supporter of many charitable organizations and was an accomplished seamstress.
She was a graduate of St. Peter’s Elementary School and St. Peter’s High School in New Brunswick and The Cittone Institute.
Daughter of the late Steven and Sophia Kozielec-Yetsko, sister of the late Robert, she is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald; sons and daughter-in-law Ronald of Woodbridge and Darren and Nancy of South Brunswick; daughter and son-in-law Denise and Ed Doherty of Plainsboro; brothers Steven Yetsko of Albany, N.Y., and Gary Yetsko of Edison; and grandchildren Krista, Douglas, Scott, Chad and Andrew.
The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Ave., New Brunswick.
Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
Visiting hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Helen M. Bradley
Retired Princeton hairdresser
TRENTON Helen M. Bradley died Friday at St. Francis Medical Center. She was 89.
Born in Trenton, she resided in Trenton her entire life.
Mrs. Bradley was a retired hairdresser and worked continuously at the same salon for 62 years in Princeton. She began her career with Swayze’s Salon, later to become the New Look Beauty Salon, and finally worked at the Ute Fey Hairstyling at the Princeton Shopping Center, from which she retired in 1996.
She was a lifelong member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Trenton.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Tulaya Buchko, wife of the late William Bradley, she is survived by daughter Joan Legares; grandsons Joseph and William Robinson; four great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Anne Buchko and Theresa Bradley; nieces Shirley and Linda Pivak; and nephew Robert Pivak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in Saints Peter and Paul Church, Trenton.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

CANTERBURY, England A memorial service for Isabelle G. Sayen will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury, Kent, England.
A lifelong Princeton-area resident, the service is in recognition of her humanitarian and peace work and the thousands of lives she improved and will be attended by her many international colleagues.
Helen B. Ward
Longtime Cranbury resident
Helen Brabston Ward, a longtime Cranbury resident, died Monday at Princeton Care Center, Princeton. She was 86.
Born in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, she resided in Cranbury for 66 years.
Mrs. Ward retired from PNC Bank of Cranbury in 1979.
Mrs. Ward was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown.
She enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing the piano.
Daughter of the late Michael Joseph and Mary Agnes Brabston, wife of the late Thomas Gilbert Ward, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law Gilbert T. and Rose M. Ward of Hightstown; daughter and son-in-law M. Patricia Ward and Robert A. Prutzman; grandchildren Christine and Philip Lewis, Jason Ward and Patrick Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m., Saturday at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main St., Cranbury.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
Interment will follow at Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury.
