On that date, David Emerson plays Capt. Leland Emerson in a one-man living history presentation that details life on board a whaling ship and perilous adventures at sea while hunting for Leviathan. Emerson was master of the brigantine Sarah Ann in 1843.
Emerson is a professional actor who has had more than 20 years experience as a historical character interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg and the Old Barracks Museum. He has appeared at many museums and traditional festivals throughout the Northeast.
