Mr. Floyd, 85, of Spotswood, formerly of North Brunswick, died Dec. 15 at home. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Hirschman Floyd; a stepson, Sandor Leopold Jr. of Spotswood; two stepdaughters, Debra Tauriello of Edison and Susan Moen of Bridgewater; and five grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Spotswood Reformed Church Cemetery. Edward L. Grobelny
Mr. Grobelny, 76, of Sayreville died Dec. 15 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1987, he was employed as a laborer by the Sayreville Public Works Department. Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Rose Grobelny of Edison and Katherine Grobelny of Sayreville; and three nieces, Lorraine "Lori" Grobelny of Edison and Georgette Grobelny and Mary Ann Grabowski, both of Sayreville. A Mass was offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Catherine M. Adamski
Mrs. Adamski, 89, of Edison died Dec. 16 at the JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she lived in Baltimore, Md. and Newark before moving to Edison in 1956. Mrs. Adamski worked as a telephone operator for N.J. Bell at various locations in New Jersey before retiring in 1965. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas M. Adamski; two daughters, Catherine McCabe, Brookside, Fla.; and Mary Adamski, Edison; a son, John McKeown, Union; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Gosselin Funeral Home, Edison. A Mass was offered at St. Helena’s Church, Edison, followed by interment at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Helena’s Church Mass fund in her name.
Saul Cohen
Mr. Cohen, 76, of Iselin died Dec. 16 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Born in Roselle, he resided in Iselin the past 45 years. He was a machine operator at Airtron, Morris Plains, before his retirement. He was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Edison, and a former member of Beth Shalom, Iselin. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for The Jewish Federation of Middlesex County, and the Jewish Community Center; a Boy Scout troop leader; and a photographer for the Jewish State. Mr. Cohen is survived by his wife, Cindy Rothbloom Cohen; two sons, Jay Cohen of Tennessee and Edward Cohen of Middletown; a daughter, Andrea Portilla of Somerset; a sister, Leah Fried of California; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Temple of Israel, Woodbridge. The Goldstein Funeral Chapel Inc., Edison, was in charge of arrangements.
