Lawrence Ellery Jr.

   Lawrence C. Ellery Jr., 63, died Sunday, Dec. 28, at his daughter’s home in Cranbury.
   Born in 1940 in Keene, N.H., Mr. Ellery was a resident of West Windsor for over 30 years. He grew up on his parent’s farm in Smyrna, Del., and worked in the family business, Ellery Nurseries, until he graduated from Smyrna High School.
   He graduated form the University of Delaware as an ROTC officer in 1962, with a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation he served in the Army Ordinance at Red Stone Arsenal in Alabama. He received his master’s degree from Rider University. Mr. Ellery was a self-employed Professional Quality Engineer and a member of the West Windsor Planning Board and Chairman for the West Windsor Environmental Commission for over 15 years.He is survived by his three daughters, Robin A. Silverman, Dawn R. Ellery, and Gwen Rinaldi; two grandchildren, Alec and Kylee Silverman; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia E. and James Gibbs; two nephews, Ellery and Nicholas Gibbs; one niece, Aurora Gibbs; and many great nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, N.J. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m.
