LETTER: Thanks for your help in our time of loss

To the editor:
In response to the recent loss of our teenage son, so many people from so many communities came forward to be of help. Words cannot express how comforted we were by this outpouring of support. We would like to try to thank them the best we can.
The Rutgers community came together quickly and decisively, especially the Provost and the Housing Office of the Newark campus as well as the fine people of the Rutgers Police.
Rabbi David Eligberg, Cantor Bruce Rockman and the entire Congregation of B’nai Tikvah were central to helping us cope with this tragedy.
So many of our friends, neighbors and relatives pitched in to help with picking people up at airports, preparing food etc. but none more than our friends and neighbors Michele and Joe Brooks and their family. The Brooks family, including all three children, literally ran our lives for a week. Buying food, feeding our family, cleaning our house, walking our dog, attending to our visitors, running to airports, picking up our mail and on and on and on. I can’t imagine going through this period without their constant and attentive care. We are grateful beyond words.
