Jan. 21, 9:10 p.m.: Reviewing some tunes

A Louvin Brothers tribute and a live disc by Tony Furtado.

Read a couple of reviews of mine on Pop Matters:
   • "Livin’, Lovin’, Losin’: Songs of the Louvin Brothers" is a masterful collection, one of those rare tribute albums that do justice to its subject while making the listener want to go back to the original.
   • Tony Furtado and the American Gypsies recent "Live Gypsy" is a fine example of a group of talented musicians playing music that lacks soul. If you like technical proficiency, you’ll like this; if you prefer something with a little more feeling, then you need to go elsewhere.
