A sampling of what’s in store at Camp Middlesex and an introduction to the summer recreation program at Middlesex County College will be held Feb. 29 from 1-4 p.m. in the Technical Services Center on the Edison campus.
At this fifth annual camp fair, children and their families can learn about the more than 60 week-long, special-interest camps held during the eight-week summer season. Light refreshments will be served.
"We’ll be bringing back all our popular camps," said Elaine Berlin, assistant director of professional and community programs at the college and director of Camp Middlesex. "People have told us of many more interests, so we’re offering additional new programs." The complete camp brochure will be available at the fair, as well as the opportunity to register on site.
In a fun-filled atmosphere, representatives of the summer camp staff — teachers, athletes, sports professionals and experts in children’s activities — will meet children and their families. Camp demonstrations, such as science workshops, theater, arts and crafts, and cooking will be held. An annual highlight of the camp fair is the drawing for a $100 gift certificate applicable toward camp tuition.
Reservations for the camp fair are not required. For further information, call (732) 906-2556.
