Linda Rae Kernis, IIDA and Allied Member ASID, of Linda Rae Kernis Interior Designs Inc., Freehold, presented "Avoiding Decorating Mistakes: Don’t Just Like It, Love It" at the Jan. 8 meeting of the Newcomers/Encore Club of Colts Neck and Holmdel. Kernis has been a resident of Freehold Township for 31 years and has been a freelance interior designer for 27 years, specializing in both residential and commercial design.
Some of her works include freelance consulting for the architectural firm that designed the 40,000-square-foot Schroth School and Technical Education Center for Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Dr. Michael D. Baskin, an optometric physician with offices in the Pond Road Shopping Center in Freehold Township, recently attended the third annual Primary Care Optometry Symposium held recently in New York City. The three-day symposium emphasized diagnosis, treatment and management of the glaucoma patient; the management of the dry eye patient; updates of new therapeutic medications for the patient with ocular allergy; refractive surgery updates with the newest technologies; examination of the pediatric patient with clinical considerations for contact lens wear from birth through adolescence; and exploring wavefront technology and incorporating it in the new custom Lasik procedure.
