MANVILLE – Ann S. Jenkins died Thursday, Jan. 29, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was 89.
Born in New York City, she had been a resident of Manville for over 50 years.
Mrs. Jenkins worked in the accounting department at American Cyanamid of Bound Brook, retiring 30 years ago.
During her career, Mrs. Jenkins had also worked for Diehl and Singer.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hillsborough, and a member of the church Altar-Rosary Society.
She was a longtime member of the Manville Senior Citizens Club.
Her first husband, John Sekura, former cantor at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church; two brothers; and four sisters are deceased.
Surviving is her second husband, Morgan Jenkins of Manville, two sons, John Sekura of Los Angeles, and Ronald Sekura of Key Largo, Fla.; one step-son, Morgan Jenkins Jr. of Bethlehem, Pa.; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held Feb. 3 from Ketusky Funeral Home, Manville, followed by a funeral Liturgy in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.
