Comedy night
Saturday, Feb. 7 The Florence Township High School Soccer Boosters are sponsoring the second annual Comedy Night. Doors open at 6 p.m., comedy starts at 8 p.m. at the Roebling Fire House, Seventh Avenue and Main Street, Roebling.

Atlantic City trip
Sunday, Feb. 8 The Knights of Columbus No. 570 is sponsoring a bus trip to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. Clinic for parents
Sunday, Feb. 8 The Bordentown Little League will hold a clinic for baseball coaches, potential volunteers and parents who wish to learn more about developing the skills of their children from 6 to 8 p.m. in Bordentown.

Little League
Monday, Feb. 9 The Bordentown Little League will hold a general membership meeting at 7 p.m. at the Carslake Community Center, Crosswicks Street, Bordentown City. All parents of baseball or softball players are invited.
Registrations for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons are being accepted. Registration is open to Bordentown Township, Bordentown City, Fieldsboro, Mansfield Township, Springfield Township, Chesterfield and North Hanover Township residents. Library programs
Tuesday, Feb. 10 Toddler Time will be held at 10:30 a.m. and children ages 18 to 36 months are invited to sing songs, hear stories and make a "lovely" holiday craft.
At 6:30 p.m., children 4 to 7 are invited to her stories and make a "friendly" Valentine craft.

Back to school
Thursday, Feb. 12 Bordentown Regional High School has announced that its spring semester "Back to School Night" will be held at 7 p.m. at the high school.
The program is designed to provide parents with the opportunity to meet teachers, and become informed about the courses their child is taking. Parents will follow their child’s abbreviated schedule. Guidance counselors, supervisors and administrators will be available to provide assistance and answer questions.

Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 The Academy Theatre will present "Love is in the Air: A Valentine Song Cycle" at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.50.
Friday, Feb. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 22 The Academy Theatre will present "A Night In Camelot: An Immersion Theatre Experience" at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $40 and include dinner and the show.

Sacramental anointing

Wednesday, Feb 25 through Friday, Feb. 27 A clothing drive will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at Holy Assumption School in Roebling. Please bag items and drop off behind the school at McGrath Hall. Used clothing, shoes, purses, soft linens and stuffed animals are accepted.
Roast beef supper
Saturday, Feb. 28 Hedding Methodist Church in Bordentown will hold the annual roast beef supper with seatings at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and must be reserved at 324-0729. Profits benefit the church’s mission program.
Autism benefit
Saturday, March 6 Connor P. Casey Foundation for Autism second annual "Blarney Benefit for Autism" will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Bordentown Elks Lodge.
Cost is $30 per person and includes Irish buffet, open bar, DJ, Irish band, Irish auction, 50/50, and surprises. All proceeds go to the Eden Institute for Early Intervention Scholarships.
St. Patrick’s run
Saturday, March 13 Bordentown’s St. Paddy’s Day 5K Run and 2-mile Fun Walk is slated. Start times: 8:45 a.m. for the walk and 9:30 a.m. for the run at Clara Barton School, Crosswicks Street.
The USATF certified course is in the historic City of Bordentown. The event is coordinated by Baldassari and Leestma Race Management and sponsored by Bordentown Education Foundation and Bordentown Rotary Club to benefit the education of Bordentown public school children.

Baseball clinic
The Bordentown Little League is registering baseball players 7 to 10 to participate in a skills-development clinic at the National Guard Armory on Route 206.
Parents can select one of two sessions: Session I will take place on five consecutive Fridays from Feb. 13 to March 12 from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Session II will take place on five consecutive Wednesdays from March 10 to April 7 from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m.
During the clinics, workshops and information will be offered to the parents on safety issues and how to purchase the right equipment for their children. On Feb. 13 parents can register their children for the regular season. The cost of the clinic is $30. Scholarships, based on need, are available. Jazz and tap
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Chesterfield Hose Company is sponsoring two six-week adult jazz and tap classes at the Chesterfield Firehouse on Route 528 in Chesterfield on Tuesday nights. Learn a choreographed Broadway number and get exercise; no dance experience required.

The deadline for filing nominating petitions to run for positions on the Springfield Township Board of Education is Monday, March 1 at 4 p.m. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 20.
Prospective school board candidates can obtain a candidate kit at the local school district board office, 2146 Jacksonville Road, Jobstown. Published by the New Jersey School Boards Association, the kit includes information about the legal qualifications for candidacy, campaign procedures, and the role of the school board member. Information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act, important dates in the school election process, and briefing sessions for school board candidates is also included.
Travel soccer
