Mardi Gras coming to Lincoln Avenue

Chamber of Commerce to hold Mardi Gras night on March 6.

   JAMESBURG — The Jamesburg Area Chamber of Commerce again will bring the carnival spirit of Mardi Gras to the borough.
   The chamber’s second annual Mardi Gras Night will take over the Jamesburg Knights of Columbus, at 83 Lincoln Ave., March 6, from 6 to 10 p.m.
   The evening will include a hot buffet of Cajun and American fare along with beer, wine and soda. Spirits also will be available at a cash bar.
   Music and merry-making will be moved along by a DJ entertainer, whose repertoire will include games and prizes.
   Amy Pratico, the chamber’s vice president, said everyone is welcome
   "Attendees should feel free to come in costume or, if they prefer, they can dress to impress. The important thing is we want people to come and join us in having a good time," she said.

   Ms. Pratico said that for the second year part of the event’s proceeds will fund a scholarship for a Monroe Township High School graduating senior.
