The Central Jersey Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners will hold a workshop "Developing Strategic Partnerships" March 16 at 6 p.m. at Brookdale Community College, Route 9, Freehold. The Township of Aberdeen recently introduced a redesigned and enhanced municipal Web site, www.twp.aberdeen.nj.us. The site is broken down into five categories "About Aberdeen," "News," "Government," "Departments" and "Calendars." One of the main improvements to the site is the availability of more permits and applications, such as certificate of occupancy, dog and cat licenses and landlord registra-tion certificates. The site also provides links to the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District and Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library Web sites.
Matawan musical act, "Jokerelli" (Joe Carelli) is currently climbing the music charts on the Internet. His first single "I Wonder" is currently number 12 and climbing the alternative music charts, and number one on the alternative British pop charts of SoundClick. Jokerelli is also SoundClick’s number 22 "Hot and Unsigned" of the best unsigned bands in all genres from acoustic to world music including hip-hop, pop jazz and rock. His music is classified as original 1980s retro dance pop. Plans are currently under way to release his first record.
Brookdale Community College recently approved proposed amounts needed in Fiscal Year 2004-05 for operational and capital needs at the college, as recommended by the Brookdale board of trustees. The board approved a budget totaling approximately $70.5 million, and a capital appropriation of $2 million. The 2004-05 budget anticipates $13.1 million in state aid, $22.4 million from the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders and $25.4 million from tuition and fees. In the previous year, state aid was $12.5 million, county aid $21.4 million, and tuition $23.7 million.

Keyport artist and Monmouth County Park System art teacher Grace Graupe-Pillard will take part in the show "Domestic Affairs" during March at the Marcia G. Yerman, Locus Media Gallery, 594 Broadway, New York City. An artist’s reception will be March 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Fourteen artists will participate in the show which demonstrates the personal vision of the artists.
Middletown resident William E. Graber was recently named first vice president, New Jersey team leader at Northfield Savings Bank. Northfield is headquartered in Staten Island, N.Y., and has 19 offices serving Staten Island, and Union and Middlesex counties. Graber will operate at the bank’s commercial lending division in Avenel. Prior to joining Northfield, Graber was first vice president and team leader of the New Jersey division at SI Bank & Trust, Staten Island. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in sociology at the University of Louisville (Ky.) He is the father of a 26-year-old son and 21-year-old daughter.
The American Red Cross will hold its charity ball March 13 at 7 p.m. at the Robert B. Meyner Reception Center, PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel. The Red Cross will present the Stavola family with its Clara Barton Humanitarian Award during the black-tie event. Roberta Sheridan, area manager for JCP&L, is the event’s chairperson.
