Children’s theater class registration under way

Registration is now under way for Allentown Children’s Theater’s second season of summer programs, presented by the Upper Freehold Regional School District Community Education department. Classes will be held at Upper Freehold Regional Elementary School, 27 High St., Allentown.

"Musical Theater Magic" will be offered during half-day classes for students in two age groups — children entering grades 1-3 and those entering grades 4-6.

The program provides a basic introduction to musical theater performance skills, including singing, stage movement, theater terminology and acting. Each three-week session will culminate in a special performance to showcase the students’ achievements. Parents, family members and friends are welcome to attend the event.

Allentown Children’s Theater classes are taught by Amanda Conn-Levin, a member of the teaching staff at Upper Freehold Regional Elementary School. Conn-Levin received both a bachelor of arts degree in theater and speech and a master of science in education from Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y.
