Theodore Margolies, 84, died Sunday, March 7, at home.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Kendall Park for many years before moving to Hamilton Township two-and-a-half years ago. Prior to retiring in 1995, he was a chemist and regional head for the Occupational and Safety Hazard Administration OSHA in Bellmawr, where he worked for 20 years. He received his master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Buffalo. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Margolies was an avid bridge player, and loved gardening.
His wife, Florence Adele Gross Margolies, died in 2003. He is survived by a son, Seth of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Irene Grecco and her husband, Buddy, of New York City; and a sister, Sylvia Waldman of Coconut Creek, Fla.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 9, at Floral Park Cemetery in South Brunswick, under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
