Brookdale slates culinary, automotive events

The department of automotive technologies at Brookdale Community College will host a roundtable for high school counselors March 25 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Warner Student Life Center. Reservations must be made by March 15 for the free event. Breakfast, lunch and a gift are included in the program.

The Culinary Education Center (CEC) of Monmouth County will host its second annual culinary event for student scholarships "Tasting Foods from Around the World" will be held March 22 from 6:30-10 p.m. at Branches, 123 Monmouth Road, West Long Branch. Tickets are $50. The event will feature various foods, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and music by DJ Jersey Joe. Area restaurants taking part in the event are Sheraton Hotel, Eatontown; Ocean Palace Conference Center, The Mix and Tuzzios, Long Branch; and Merri-Makers, Matawan.

"Crisis Communications for School Principals, Superintendents, and Admin­istrators" will be offered March 22 from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the student life center. The seminar is for principals, assistant principals, administrators, board members and other school personnel responsible for communications with the media, parents, and the community.
