The final concert in the Monmouth Arts Foundation Chamber Music Series will be presented March 21 at 3 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. Zephyros Wind Quintet will perform works by Beethoven, Mozart, Jean Francais and Lalo Schifrin. Members of the quintet are Jennifer Grim, flute, James Roe, oboe, Michael Aaron Bepko, clarinet, Douglas Quint, bassoon, and Patric Pridemore, French horn. Comprised of graduates of the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School, Zephyros is considered one of the nation’s leading young wind quintets. The 2004 Teen Arts Festival will take place March 17-18 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft and the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. This year, some 1,200 high school students will participate in workshops, performances and exhibits of student artwork. The event will include poetry slams, dance, and jam sessions. Art work and performances are evaluated by professional artists and those rated highly will go on to participate in the statewide Teen Arts Festival in May. The 34th Monmouth Festival of the Arts will take place March 28-31 at Monmouth Reform Temple on Hance Avenue in Tinton Falls. The works of 250 fine artists will be on display and available for purchase at the festival, which will also include demonstrations by artists, workshops and performances for children, a symposium for educators and seminars for artists. Light lunch, supper and snacks will be available at Le Petit Cafe. Hours are March 28, noon-8:30 p.m., March 29 and 30, 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., and March 31, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission is $7, and $4 for seniors and students. Fair Haven singer-songwriter John Padovano has released a new compact disc of original songs, "Cattailsville Ballet (without orchestra)," the fourth and final release in the four-CD series "The Rainy Day Hobo." The new CD of folk and blues songs is the eighth collection of original songs to be released by the independent recording artist. "Cattailsville Ballet" is based on the character The Ironbound Crooner and follows the life of a little-known performer who appears at small venues. and shows. The album was produced by his son, John-Paul Padovano, who also performs on it. Padovano appears every Friday night at Indulgence Cafe in Atlantic Highlands.

Center Players, Freehold-based community theater company, will present a matinee performance of Tom Grimm’s "The Boys Next Door" March 13 at 2 p.m. The performance, which will take place at the Center Playhouse on South Street in Freehold Borough, will benefit the Monmouth County Arts Council. "The Boys Next Door" is a funny and touching drama that focuses on the lives of four men with mental disabilities who live in a group home under the watchful eye of a social worker. The event will include gourmet desserts and coffee served at intermission, and an opportunity to meet the cast after the performance. Tickets are $35, $30 for MCAC members and seniors. Four Red Bank Regional High School seniors in the school’s commercial art program will display works at the annual Senior Art Show on exhibit April-June at Little Silver Borough Hall, 480 Prospect Ave. Jennie Ambong, Troy Barrett, Glenn Fitzgerald and Sean Harris will display works ranging from abstract to photo-realistic depicted in pencil, paint, mixed media and computer. The four are students of commercial art teacher Dawn Lisko.

The Oratorio Choir of First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank will present its annual concert March 29 at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, located at 255 Harding Road. The 55-voice choir under the direction of Charles Harris, director of music, consists of members of the Tower Hill Choir, community choir members and other singers. Soloists are Karen Lundry, soprano, Melora Love, alto, Nathan Davis, tenor, and Douglas Millar, baritone. Jae-Hyuck Cho will accompany the choir on organ and piano. The program will include Franz Joseph Haydn’s Mass No. 3 in D "Lord Nelson Mass," Johannes Brahms’ "Alto Rhapsody," and "Lux Aeterna" by contemporary composer Morten Lauridsen. A reception will follow. A free-will offering will be collected at the concert. Child care for children age 6 and under will be provided with reservations made prior to March 20.
