The Middletown Township Public Library will offer Arabic-English story time for children and their families.
The classes will be held in the parks and recreation building, Croydon Hall, Leonardville Road, Leonardo, March 30-May 18 from 7-7:45 p.m.
Arabic-English story time is a series of free classes that include storytelling and games in the Arabic and English languages.
During the program, an interpreter/storyteller will translate English into Arabic and vice versa. Families wishing to learn a little Arabic are also welcome.
The classes are aimed at children ages 4-8, but older and younger children are welcome. An adult must attend with children.

VNA offers course in ‘Understanding Hospice’
Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey’s (VNACJ) will offer a free, five-session course, "Understanding Caring: Understanding Hospice," March 22, 29, and April 12, 19 and 26 from 6:30-9 p.m. Sessions are for individuals interesting in becoming hospice volunteers and in knowing more about hospice. The course will be held at VNACJ headquarters, 176 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.

MTEF fund-raiser tickets on sale
Tickets are now available and auction donations accepted for the annual dinner-dance and auction, "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child" March 27 at 7 p.m. at Gibbs Hall, Fort Monmouth. Tickets are $75 per person.
The event will benefit the Middletown Township Education Foundation (MTEF). It will feature hors d’oeuvres, open bar from 7:30-9:30 p.m., dinner, dancing, music by Fate, and auctions. Auction items include sporting event tickets, sports memorabilia, and gift baskets.

Candidates sought for
Rotary youth conference
The Rotary Club of Holmdel is seeking candidates to attend the Rotary Youth Leaders Academy (RYLA) conference June 19-22 at Georgian Court College, Lakewood. The Rotary will pay the participants’ fee for the program.
Attendees will be chosen from among students entering either sophomore or junior year in high school next fall. The conference is aimed at developing the leadership potential of the attendees and will features activities such as goal setting, team building and social skills exercises. Attendees will live, work and study at the college under guidance of Rotarian advisers and past attendees.
