Obituaries Edward David Herbert

Mr. Herbert, 44, of Montgomery Township, formerly of East Brunswick, died March 11 in Old Bridge. He was predeceased by his parents, Eloise Rajek Herbert and Daniel H. Herbert. He was president of Pinnacle Materials Inc., East Brunswick, a company originally known as Herbert Sand Co. Inc., which was cofounded by his late father in 1948. Along with his sister, Christine Herbert Yackman, he was an officer in several family-owned affiliate companies. He was a former member of the East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce and a lifelong member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Ava Kojko Herbert; a sister and brother-in-law, Christine Herbert Yackman and Paul Yackman; a brother, Daniel H. Herbert Jr.; a brother-in-law, Robert Kojko; his mother-in-law, Leondina Kojko; a nephew and a niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A service was held at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.

Adolph A. Biagi

Mr. Biagi, 84, of East Brunswick died March 10 at home. His wife, Josephine Borek Biagi, died in 2003. Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Pleva and Julia Pearce, both of East Brunswick, and Lorraine Mahoney of the Neshanic Station section of Branchburg; a sister, Eda Matri of Callicoon Center, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Jean Marie Shannon McCann

Mrs. McCann, 42, of East Brunswick died March 14 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Kevin McCann; two sons, Ryan and Conor, both at home; her parents, Patrick and Margaret Mullen Shannon of Yonkers, N.Y.; a brother, Charles Shannon of the Bronx, N.Y.; a sister, Patricia Shannon of New York City; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass is planned for 10 a.m. on March 19 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Edward J. "Brod" Taylor

Mr. Taylor, 71, of South River died March 14 in St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Black and Elinor Rossi, both of East Brunswick, and Barbara Gershman of South Toms River; a brother, Arthur J. Taylor of Scotrun, Pa.; a sister, Eleanor Roeloffs of the Robbinsville section of Washington Township; and six grand­children. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Cremation was private.

Helen C. Rusin Toth

Mrs. Toth, 98, of South River died March 13 at home. Prior to her retirement 33 years ago, she was a seamstress for many years with Brodsky and Sons Inc., South River. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Toth. Surviving are a daughter, Helen Wanson of South River; a sister, Julia Bosko of South River; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Rosemary Brewer Adonizio

Mrs. Adonizio, 43, of South Amboy, for­merly of Sayreville, died March 12 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are three daughters, Amy Adonizio of Milltown, Tammy Adonizio of South River and Marlena Spearnock of East Brunswick; two brothers, Robert Brewer of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Wayne Brewer of Sayreville; two sisters, Donna Pelham of Monroe and Linda Marcinczyk of Sayreville; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Edward J. Lejda

Mr. Lejda, 86, of Sayreville died March 9 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth Lejda. Surviving are his wife, Helen Stark Zwolinski Lejda; three daughters, Joyce Kilcomons of East Brunswick, Joan Celli of Nashville, Tenn., and Karen Redmond of Old Bridge; a son, Frank Zwolinski of South River; two sis­ters, Marion Mazeski of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown and Ceil Gutkowski of Edison; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Long Branch. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sayreville Emergency Squad, Washington Road, Parlin, NJ 08859.

Lena Rizzi Petrey

Mrs. Petrey, 76, of Monroe died March 11 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are three daughters, Ann Marie Lucciola of East Brunswick, Nancy Lee Abascal of Monroe and Mary Jane Roll of Old Bridge; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was of­fered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Wallace P. Rader

Mr. Rader, 43, of Old Bridge died March 14 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Monica Eckert Rader; two sons, Christopher Michael and Jonathan William, both at home; three brothers, William of Atlantic City, David of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Richard of East Brunswick; three sisters, Barbara Cascella of Piscataway, Susan Wallace of Old Bridge and Margaret Cavasin of the Morganville section of Marlboro; and two nieces. Visitation is planned for 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on March 18 at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on March 19 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Theodore C. Laube

Mr. Laube, 81, of East Brunswick died March 12 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His wife, Margaret McClymont Laube, died in 1994. Surviving are three sons, Richard C. Laube of Ewing, Kenneth D. Laube of Arlington, Mass., and Douglas Laube of Clyde, N.C.; his mother, Charlotte Meyer Laube of Langhorne, Pa.; two sisters, Louise Schwarze of Newtown, Pa., and Charlotte Hartley of San Diego, Calif.; and a granddaughter. Visitation is planned for 2-4 p.m. on March 19 at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Cremation will be private.
