Police responded to Ferreira Construction Co. on Route 206 on a report of a stolen vehicle at 4:45 p.m., March 1.
The business owner told police a blue 1986 Ford F350 dump truck, estimated to be worth $3,000, was not in front of the trailer where it was left at 4 p.m., Feb. 27.
According to the owner, the truck had been parked in dirt parking lot area in front of the Ferreira Construction trailers located off the jughandle leading to Dukes West. The keys, registration, and insurance were inside the truck.

Carlo Demauro, 23, of Larch Lane was charged with driving while intoxicated at 1:38 a.m. March 5, after police responded to a request for help after an accident.
Police said a man approached officers processing a traffic violation and stated that his friend had called him asking for help after crashing on Sunnymead Road.
Police found a black 1996 Ford F250 in the southern culvert of the eastern lane of Weston Road facing west, but after checking the immediate area, were unable to located the driver.
Police then asked the man to contact the driver on his cell phone. Police also contacted the Manville police since the accident happened on the border between Hillsborough and Manville.
After being contacted by his friend, Mr. Demauro returned to the accident site, where police noticed he appeared intoxicated and performed a field sobriety test.
Police also noted a small amount of dried blood on his forehead, and asked him if he wanted the Hillsborough Rescue Squad to be called in, but he refused.
Mr. Demauro was taken to the Manville Police Department headquarters for a breath test. Mr. Demauro’s blood alcohol content was found to be at .08 and he was transported to Hillsborough police headquarters.
Mr. Demauro was then charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report the accident.
He was released to the custody of his friend. Mr. Demauro is awaiting a court date.

Leonardo Higarera-Perez, 25, of Farm Road was charged with shoplifting while at Cost Cutters at 1:54 p.m., March, 13.
Police were told an employee heard the store’s security alarm go off at the exit and found the accused standing with an ovulation kit, valued at $24.99, that Mr. Higarera-Perez did not have a receipt for.
Mr. Higarera-Perez posted a $1,000 bail and was released, pending a court date.

Somerset County Communication received a 911 call advising of a gas leak in the area of 34 Hamilton Road.
While doing work at the site, a gas line was ruptured by a resident.
Emergency units responded and secured the area until PSE&G turned the gas off. No residents were evacuated.
Hamilton Road was closed to through traffic in the area from 4:24 p.m. until 6:12 p.m.
In addition to police and PSE&G , the Hillsborough Rescue Squad and Hillsborough Fire Unit 37 responded to the scene.

Nevius Street Bridge located at the border of Hillsborough Township and Raritan Borough was closed March 12 as a result of repairs that need to be made to the bridge. The bridge will be closed indefinitely and a detour route has been posted in the area.
