Dorothy Ann Bainton
Mrs. Bainton, 76, of Jackson, died March 19 at home. Born in Perth Amboy, she had lived in Manalapan for most of her life before moving to Jackson last year. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, and a member of the Jackson Senior Center. Prior to retiring in 2002, she was the owner/operator of Sue-Ann Rest Home, Manalapan, for 36 years. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bob Gironda of Freehold; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Aloysius Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Mr. Pereira, 98, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Feb. 25 in Victoria House Care Center, Matawan. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Healy Pereira, and by a daughter, Theresa Iurilli. Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Howard of Minnesota and Margaret Rodriguez of Queens, N.Y.; two sons, Martin Pereira of Howell and John Pereira of Parlin; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.Anna L. Davis
Mrs. Davis, 83, of Lakewood, died March 8 at Harrogate Health Care Center, Lakewood. Born in Newark, she had lived in the Holiday City adult housing development located in Toms River before moving to Lakewood four years ago. Prior to her 1976 retirement, she was an accountant for New Jersey Bell Telephone, Newark, for 30 years. She was predeceased by a brother, John Westerman, who was killed in action on June 2, 1945, during the advance on Rome in World War II. Surviving are her husband, George Davis, and a nephew, Vincent Petruzziello of Manasquan. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood, followed by burial at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Mr. Steiner, 60, of Sayreville, died Feb. 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as service manager at Thomas and Chadwick Inc., and Riverside Supply Co., Sayreville, where he worked since 1965. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Chadwick Steiner; a daughter, Maureen Wistuba of Sayreville; two sons, Brian Steiner of Sayreville and Stephen Steiner of Johnstown, Colo.; a sister, Brenda Loesch of Howell; a brother, William Loesch of the Colonia section of Woodbridge; an aunt, Tesse Firczuk of Sayreville; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville.
