Mr. Giglio, 88, of Long Branch died March 13 at home. He was a lifelong resident. He was a co-owner of Giglio Bait and Tackle Shop, Sea Bright, for 34 years, retiring in 1993. He was an avid fisherman and member of the Long Branch Sportsmen Club and Sea Bright Anglers. Mr. Giglio was predeceased by three brothers, Armand Giglio in 1975, Rudolph Giglio in 1996, and Pat Giglio in 2001. He is survived by three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Ernie and Jacqueline Giglio of West Long Branch, Robert and Linda Giglio of the Wanamassa section of Oakhurst, Roland and Celia Giglio of Long Branch, and Gladys Giglio of Long Branch. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, followed by interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
Elise J. Valenti Alvino
Mrs. Alvino, 88, of Allenwood died March 19 at home. Born in Long Branch, she resided in Allenwood for the past six months. She was a homemaker and a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by a son, Robert D., in 1972; and a grandson, Adam, in 1994. She is survived by her husband, Vincent J.; a son and daughter-in-law, Vincent Joseph and Janice of Allenwood; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Trinity Church. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Blanche L. Burns
Mrs. Burns of Monmouth Beach died March 10 at her home. Born in Coventry, R.I., she had lived in Monmouth Beach since 1956. She worked as a waitress at the Corner Store. She was a communicant of the Church of the Precious Blood, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Monmouth Beach for many years. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Burns, in 1987; and her parents, Stanley and Anna Lukowicz. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Walter III and Pam Burns of Indianapolis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Michael Murray of Little Silver, and Pam and Stewart Magee of Roseland; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren A funeral Mass was held at the Church of Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach, and interment was held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
Henry Fred Dreeke Jr.
Mr. Dreeke, 83, of Fair Haven died March 8 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Oceanport before moving to Fair Haven. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning several medals of achievement. He worked as an auto detailer for Rassas Pontiac, Red Bank, before retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of the Red Bank Masonic Temple and a life member of the West Long Branch American Legion. He was predeceases by his parents, Henry Sr. and Frances. Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Forsman of Rumson, and Edna Miller of Red Bank; two nieces; and one nephew. A funeral service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church, West Front Street, Red Bank.
Helen K. Arnheiter
Mrs. Arnheiter of Red Bank died March 23 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Kearny, she resided in Summit for 50 years prior to moving to Red Bank. Mrs. Arnheiter was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member and past president of the Fortnightly Club of Summit, and past president of the Women’s National Farm and Gardens of New Jersey, Beacon Hill. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Philip Patrick, in 2002. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen K. and Edward Fowler of Sanford, N.C., and Mary B. and Richard James Palazzo of Monmouth Beach; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip F. and Robin Arnheiter of Little Silver; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. James Church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
