Howard E. Hollins Sr.

Mr. Hollins, 87, of Eatontown died March 23 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Cleveland, he resided in Eatontown for more than 50 years. He was a maintenance worker at Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, before his retirement, and the Eatontown School System, where he was employed for several years. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Mae Page Hollins; two sons, Dale Deland Hollins in 1991, and Grasty Clemons Page in February. Mr. Hollins is survived by a son and daughter, Eugene H. Hollins Jr. and Zeppora L. Taylor, both of Newark, Del.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown.

Minnie I. Del Tufo Primavera

Mrs. Primavera, 98, of Long Branch died March 26 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Newark, she resided there prior to moving to Long Branch 75 years ago. Mrs. Primavera and her husband were co-owners of Primavera’s Italian Specialty Store, Long Branch, which opened in 1944. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Young at Heart Club of West Long Branch. Mrs. Primavera was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph F. Primavera Sr., in 1992. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rudolph and Angela Primavera Jr., and Ralph and Joan Primavera, all of West Long Branch; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Robert Tomasulo of Long Branch; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Star of the Sea Church, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., CW6, Long Branch 07740.

Lillian R. Brown Young

Mrs. Young, 80, of Hazlet died March 28 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Sharon, Pa., she resided in Keyport prior to moving to Hazlet three years ago. Mrs. Young was a homemaker. She was a member of the Keyport Senior Citizens and enjoyed bingo. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Young, in 1990. Mrs. Young is survived by three sons, Robert Young of Hazlet, Paul Young of Keyport, and John Hettrick Jr. of Hubbard, Ohio; four daughters, Gail Young of Keyport, Phyllis Young of Perth Amboy, Emma Hettrick of Ocean, and Joyce Lee of Hubbard, Ohio; two brothers, Carl R. Brown and William Swartz, both of Hubbard; and three grandchildren. Interment was at Maple Grove Cemetery, Hubbard. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.Marie J. Mrs. Kowalsky, 75, of Lakewood died March 28 at home. Born in Long Branch, she had resided in West Long Branch and Wall Township for 26 years before her recent move to Lakewood. Mrs. Kowalsky was a court attendant in Freehold before her retirement. She was a member of the Lions Club International, Wall; a committee person in Wall Township District 6 for 10 years; and member of the Wall Township Republican Club. She enjoyed time with her family and cooking. Mrs. Kowalsky is survived by her husband, Thomas S. Kowalsky Sr.; two daughters, Jacqueline Rich of West Long Branch and Toni Lynn Kihntoph of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Rocky Fodero; two sisters, Pauline Calabrese and Rose Martin; a stepdaughter; a stepson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Interment was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Long Branch. The O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall, was in charge of arrangements.

Murray Jules Weiss

Mr. Weiss, 77, of West Long Branch died March 28 in Boca Raton, Fla. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was director of EEG-Dynatrend, Tinton Falls, from 1988-94. Prior to that, he was deputy director of the Avionics Lab at CECOM, Fort Monmouth, and an adjunct professor at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, from 1957-64. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was past president of Congregation B’nai Sholom, Long Branch. He enjoyed time with his family, tennis, bridge, and reading. Mr. Weiss was predeceased by a daughter, Jill Abby Weiss. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Regina Droisen Weiss; a son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Maryanne Weiss; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Glenn Tucker, and Beth and Dan Pendergast; and nine grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Temple Beth El, Oakhurst section of Ocean Township. Interment was at Temple Beth El Cemetery, Neptune. Arrangements were by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean Township. Memorial donations may be made to Temple Beth El, 301 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst 07755.

Leonard E. Ceglia

Mr. Ceglia, 72, of Eatontown died March 29 at home. Born in Newark, he resided there before moving to Eatontown 40 years ago. He was a custodian for the Eatontown Board of Education, retiring 14 years ago. Prior to that, he was a driver for the Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Co., Bloomfield. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received several medals. He enjoyed time with his family, and hunting. Mr. Ceglia is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elia Gioseffi Ceglia; a son, Vincent Ceglia of Eatontown; a daughter and son-in-law, Ida and Philip Rydel of Howell; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. The Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown, was in charge of arrangements.
