Evhen "Gino" Stolarenko
Mr. Stolarenko, 72, of Freehold, died May 10 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills section of Pemberton. Born in the Ukraine, he had lived in Freehold for more than 40 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a forklift operator for Brockway Glass Co., Freehold Township, prior to retiring in 1978. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, as well as a former member of Freehold’s American Legion Post No. 54 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4373. Surviving are his wife, Alice Coleman Stolarenko; a son, William Fegan of Texas; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Bonnie and Albert Gaynor of Freehold, Roxane and Julian Diaz of Cream Ridge, and Deborah Fegan and Amy Arnista, both of Philadelphia; a brother, Walter Stolarenko of Levittown, N.Y.; a sister, Olina Begnaud of Louisiana; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces; and four nephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by entombment at Forest Green Park Mausoleum, Marlboro. Mr. Urciuoli, 82, of Jackson died May 15 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Richmond, Va., he had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Jackson eight years ago. A World War II Army veteran, he was a distributor for Peerless Liquor Importers, Brooklyn, for 35 years, then prior to retiring, worked for 16 years as manager of Brooklyn’s Carlou Bagels. A member of the Jackson Senior Center, he enjoyed playing pool with his friends. During his earlier years in Brooklyn, he was also a Golden Gloves boxer. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose, and a son, Andrew Jr. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Lucille Urciuoli of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Richard Solomon of Jackson; three brothers, Pat, Carmine and Louis Urciuoli; two sisters, Mary Patteta and Anna Casale; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at Ocean View the Cemetery Beautiful, Staten Island, N.Y. Mr. Freudenberger, 85, of Marlboro died May 14 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Millvale, Pa., he had moved to Queens Village, N.Y., as a child and had lived there until 1941, when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served during World War II in Panama, the Philippines and Korea, rising to the rank of staff sergeant in the Signal Corps. After the war, he had resided in Port Chester, N.Y., Daytona, Fla., and then in New Rochelle, N.Y., before moving to Marlboro in 1955. Prior to retiring in 1974, he was a switchman for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. After retirement, he divided his time between his homes in Marlboro and Anna Maria Island, Fla., where he enjoyed boating and going to the beach. A member of the Colts Neck Baptist Church, he and his wife had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary there on May 9. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harry Freudenberger Jr. and Ralph Freudenberger. Surviving are his wife, Helen Haglind Freudenberger; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Carol C. Freudenberger Jr. of Marlboro and St. Augustine, Fla.; and a granddaughter. Mr. Grzegorzek, 79, of Freehold Township died May 10 at home. Born in New Britain, Conn., he had lived in Madison for 20 years before moving to Manalapan and then to Freehold Township in 1987. Prior to retiring 20 years ago, he was the owner and operator of Cheker Stamping and Manufacturing Corp., Newark. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society, both in Madison. He was predeceased in 1982 by his wife, Anna Kovach Grzegorzek. Surviving are seven daughters, Patricia Luthy of Flanders, Kathleen Grzegorzek of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ann Marie Grzegorzek of Freehold, Carol Grzegorzek of Howell, Christine Tosh of Summerville, S.C., Susan Grzegorzek of Englishtown and Wendy Grzegorzek of Neptune City; a brother, Joseph Grzegorzek of New Britain; two sisters, Sally Smith of Newington, Conn., and Florence Kramer of New Britain; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Rose, 88, of Englishtown died May 13 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in New York City, he had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Englishtown 36 years ago. He had worked as a deputy city administrator and an executive director for New York City Urban Corp. Surviving are his wife, Estelle (Spigel) Rose; two sons, Steven Rose of Colonia and Hal Rose of West Windsor; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Temple of Israel Mausoleum at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, followed by interment at Beth Israel Cemetery. The Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Edison, was in charge of arrangements.
