Chief of police commends dept. on inspection
(Open letter to the residents of Keyport and members of the Keyport Police Department)
On May 15, the Keyport Police Department held its first inspection in more than 25 years.
The event was a huge success.
I am looking forward to it becoming an annual affair. As always, the outcome of such an event is reliant on a team effort.
The team I am talking about is the Keyport Police Department.
Capt. John Dayback was primarily responsible for organizing the affair, and I would like to publicly thank him for his hard work.
Every police officer in the department participated in the inspection.
While several individual awards were presented, I want each and every member of the department to know I appreciate their efforts every day of the year, but especially for the pride they exhibited in themselves and this department during the inspection.
I am honored and privileged to serve with them.
I would also like to thank the mayor and council for attending the inspection, and for the beautiful plaque they awarded to the department.
Finally, I would like to thank the residents and business owners of Keyport for attending the inspection, as well as for their continued support.
Theodore J. Gajewski
