The Freehold Soil Conservation District has selected the local winners of the 2004 Conservation Poster and Bumper Sticker contests, "The Living Soil." First-place winner for the poster contest for grades 10-12 was Grace Liu, Holmdel, Holmdel High School.
First place for grades seven through nine was Allen Lin, Holmdel, Holmdel High School. First-place winner for grades four through six was Kevin Lin, Holmdel, Indian Hill Elementary, Holmdel. First-place winner for grades 10-12 was Grace Liu. First place for grades seven through nine was Allen Lin.
More than 80 entries were received for the contest. First-place winners receive a $100 savings bond, second-place winners receive a $75 bond and third-place winners receive a $50 bond from Freehold Soil Conservation District. First-place-winning entries were sent to the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts for statewide judging. First-place entries have been submitted to the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts for consideration for state-level awards.
