Roosevelt summer camp
The Roosevelt Community Education and Recreation Coalition will sponsor a Community Summer Camp for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade. The program will be offered June 21 through Aug. 13, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Students will participate in arts and crafts, sports, drama, computers and other camp activities, including swimming and weekly field trips. The program is open to residents and nonresidents of Roosevelt.
Registration and Information Night will be held May 27 at Roosevelt Borough Hall from 6-8 p.m. The recreation director and camp supervisor will be available to answer questions regarding the program. For more information, call the Recreation Coalition at (609) 448-0539, ext. 3.
Trip to ‘Guys and Dolls’ slated for June 10
The Roosevelt Community Education and Recreation Coalition is sponsoring a trip to see "Guys and Dolls" at the Paper Mill Playhouse June 10. The bus will leave the Roosevelt School at noon and return at approximately 6 p.m. The cost is $30.

‘Child Find’ program
seeks disabled children
Parents of resident preschool children reaching the age of 3 within the next year, children between the ages of 3 and 5, or school-age children between the ages of 6-21 who may be experiencing physical, sensory, communication, cognitive or social difficulty, are asked to call the Roosevelt School District at (609) 448-2798 to arrange an appointment and/or referral to the child study team.
The school district is responsible for locating and evaluating all resident children who may be disabled. Children who attend either private or public schools are included in the borough’s "Child Find" program.

to offer day camp
Roosevelt Community Nursery School (RCNS) is introducing a summer day camp program.
"Little Hearts Day Camp at RCNS" will run for 10 weeks, from June 21-Aug. 27. Parents may choose from two to five days per week for one to 10 weeks. A mini-session is available from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; a full-day session from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; and an extended day from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Children do not have to be toilet-trained. Vendors, entertainers sought for Freedom Fest
The Allentown Presbyterian Church is organizing the second annual Freedom Fest scheduled for June 28-July 3 at the Upper Freehold Regional School complex, Route 539, Allentown. This event will feature the famous midway of Amusement of America, food by local restaurants and the Upper Freehold Regional PTA, entertainment, craft vendors and special events.
